The workshop is designed for both boys and girls. Not just the guys. The way it's put together, anyone can participate in this workshop and learn. No MEGA muscle strength is required for this class. -------------------------------------- Of course in these workshops kids will not be learning any headspins, flares or airflares right away because it's simply too dangerous... But as an introduction, I can show them some of my spins and air power as motivation for their future development... Afterwards I'll get to the teaching part of the workshop.
Description of the workshop: We start with a warm up, stretching, and some dynamic exercises -- to make sure the muscles are warmed up, and its safe to do breaking elements. Then there are 3 basic parts: Uprock, footwork, and powermoves/tricks. For uprock, we will cover basic posture positioning and a few simple uprock combinations. For footwork, we will cover basic 3 step, 5 step, 6 step, threading etc.. For powermoves/tricks, I split the group into couples and we will work on basic handstands, elbow stands, air baby, air chair (and headstand if mats are available).
Both CroSel and Breaker KI teach classes in Toronto. We can teach beginner breakdancing concepts such as different styles of toprock and footwork to advanced breakdancing concepts such as different styles of powermoves and flips. These are private classes. Group classes are available as well based on demand.
